Wow! What an amazing weekend. There is something very exciting about so many people getting together in one place, with their different styles, cultures and languages to glorify God. It was a crazy experience and we were left thanking God that we could have been part of it.

We met many new friends and reconnected with many old friends and were left with a strong sense of unity. We hope to see many of you soon as we keep building the kingdom of God in our local context with our daily lives of worship.

Let's keep on loving God and those around us.

Yesterday was awesome, not only because of the experience, but mostly because God was glorified in unison by 50 000 people. It was an amazing privilege to worship on stage together with so many of God's people. We loved teaming up with Retief for the "youth section" of this event. Herman is also now more fondly known as Pappa se Bulkalf!

From Trevor Samson to Usher Bell to Graham Powers to Joe Niemand's awesome voice to Oom Angus it was a day that will change Cape Town and ultimately our country.

22 March at the new soccer stadium

Surrender Band will be joining a whole bunch of muso's at the new soccer stadium in Cape Town for a prayer event on 22 March. We're quite excited and privileged to see the inside of this structure in this way even before the World Cup.

US Tour 2010

As some of you may know Charl is in the USA at the moment and have had a good time so far. He started out in St Paul, MN with his family and from there went to Dallas, TX to lead worship and teach at a youth meeting. He also had a small gig at the Urban Dog coffee shop. After Dallas he went to Nashville, TN and hung out with some industry guys and also sang at a campus church meeting and another small meeting for his friend Selena Headley.

Currently he is in Augusta, GA where he will lead worship and teach at a youth weekend and join the InFocus Church on Sunday for worship and doing some Surrender Band songs. On Sunday he heads back to St Paul, MN (all -40 degrees Celcius of it!) for his dad's 60th birthday.
